Brand design with a point of view.
Design isn't the wrapper. It's how your category reads your seriousness.
- 01.Identity systems that travel across web, social, deck, packaging and out-of-home without breaking.
- 02.Visual languages built on a sentence of strategy, not a mood board of references.
- 03.A senior creative director on every engagement — no matter the scope.
- 04.Files, tokens and guidelines your in-house team can extend, not just admire.
One studio. Every surface your brand shows up on.

Straight answers, before you book the call.
What design work do you actually take on?
Ranges depend on scope and ambition. Tell us about your project on a 30-minute call and we will send a tailored proposal within one working day.
What does a brand identity cost?
Identity systems range from ₹6–25L depending on scope, surfaces and research. We quote every engagement in writing with deliverables listed — no 'phase 2' ambushes.
How long does a project take?
Identity: 8–12 weeks. Websites: 6–10 weeks. Decks: 2–4 weeks. We lock the timeline on day one.
Do you work on retainer?
Yes — monthly creative direction retainers for founders who want a senior designer on tap, without hiring a full in-house team.
Can we use AI tooling in the work?
Selectively, yes — for exploration, motion and collateral. Brand marks and strategy remain human-led and human-signed-off.
Who owns the work?
You do. All IP, source files, libraries and guidelines transfer on final invoice. No licence games.

Brand identity that earns recognition before it earns recall
A brand isn't a logo. It's the answer to the question "what does this company stand for?" — phrased so cleanly that a customer could repeat it back to you in their own words. Most "logo design" projects in Bangalore skip the strategy that produces a recognisable answer and ship a mark that's pretty, generic and indistinguishable from a competitor's. We don't do that.
FableSquare has built brand systems for D2C startups, listed enterprises, professional services firms, hospitality groups, healthcare networks, EdTech ventures, real estate developers, manufacturing brands and personal brands of founders and CXOs. We work the way the strongest design studios in the world work — strategy first, identity second, system third — but with the speed and accountability that mid-sized businesses actually need.
What's included in a FableSquare brand identity engagement
Brand strategy
Positioning statement, target customer profile, value proposition, brand archetype (Jung), brand promise, tone of voice, naming conventions, competitor mapping. The strategic foundation everything else hangs from.
Naming & verbal identity
For new ventures: name generation, trademark screening, domain availability check, linguistic check across major Indian and international languages. Tagline development, voice and tone guide, key messages.
Logo design
Multiple logo concepts, primary mark, secondary lockups, monogram, favicon, light/dark variants, clear-space rules, minimum sizes. Vector files in every format your printers, designers and developers will ever need.
Colour & typography systems
Primary and secondary palettes with HEX, RGB, CMYK and Pantone values. Web-safe fallbacks. Typography pairings — display, body, UI — with licensing. Accessibility-checked colour contrast.
Iconography & illustration
Bespoke icon system that fits the brand voice. Custom illustration style — characters, scenes, abstract patterns. Photography direction with mood boards and shot lists.
Brand book / guidelines
40–80 page document covering strategy, identity, system, application examples, do's and don'ts. The reference your team will use for years. Available as PDF, Notion, or Frontify-style live system.
Collateral system
Business cards, letterhead, email signatures, presentation templates, social media templates, packaging templates, signage, environmental graphics. Everything your team will need to use the brand consistently.
Digital application
Website design system, app UI guidelines, social-first creative templates, ad creative templates. The bridge from static brand book to the channels where the brand actually lives.
Our 5-stage brand identity process
Stage 1: Discovery (week 1–2)
Founder interviews, customer interviews (3–10 depending on stage), competitive teardown, category audit, internal team workshop. We come out with a written diagnosis of what's true, what's possible, and what's missing.
Stage 2: Strategy (week 2–3)
Positioning, archetype, brand promise, audience definition, voice. We use Marty Neumeier's ZAG framework, Jungian archetypes, and StoryBrand for narrative — adapted to your category. Strategy is signed off before design starts.
Stage 3: Identity exploration (week 3–5)
Three distinct creative directions, each fully developed (not just a logo — type, colour, photography, layout). One round of refinement. The chosen direction becomes the foundation for the system.
Stage 4: System build (week 5–7)
Full brand system: logo lockups, colour, typography, iconography, illustration, photography, layout grids, motion principles. Application examples across 8–12 touchpoints. Brand book authored.
Stage 5: Launch & rollout (week 7+)
Asset generation, training session for your team, rollout coordination across website, social, packaging, signage, email. Plus a 90-day check-in to course-correct on application gaps.
Brand archetypes — and why they matter for recognition
Carl Jung's archetypes are pattern-matching shortcuts that customers' brains use to categorise brands without thinking. Apple uses The Magician. Nike uses The Hero. Patagonia uses The Explorer. Defining your archetype clarifies what you say, how you say it, and what your visuals should feel like.
| Archetype | Promise | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| The Hero | Mastery, courage, achievement | Nike, BMW, FedEx |
| The Magician | Transformation, vision | Apple, Disney, Tesla |
| The Sage | Wisdom, truth, expertise | Google, BBC, McKinsey |
| The Explorer | Freedom, discovery | Patagonia, Jeep, Red Bull |
| The Caregiver | Service, compassion | Johnson & Johnson, UNICEF |
| The Creator | Imagination, originality | Lego, Adobe, Crayola |
| The Ruler | Authority, prestige | Mercedes-Benz, Rolex, Microsoft |
| The Lover | Passion, intimacy | Chanel, Häagen-Dazs, Victoria's Secret |
| The Jester | Joy, humour | Old Spice, M&Ms, Mailchimp |
| The Innocent | Simplicity, optimism | Dove, Coca-Cola, Aveeno |
| The Outlaw | Rebellion, disruption | Harley-Davidson, Virgin, Diesel |
| The Everyman | Belonging, accessibility | IKEA, Levi's, Target |
Common brand identity mistakes we fix
Designing the logo before the strategy. The logo should fall out of the strategy, not the other way around. Strategy first prevents 80% of revision cycles.
Trend-chasing. Gradient logos in 2018, flat logos in 2020, retro logos in 2023. A brand identity should age into the company, not date it.
Single-mark identity. Big brands have 8–15 logo lockups for different contexts (square, horizontal, monogram, app icon, watermark). One mark won't cover every application.
Beautiful brand book, no application. A 100-page guideline that nobody uses is theatre. We design for the team that will execute it day-to-day.
Inconsistent rollout. The brand looks great on the website and ad-hoc on email signatures, social posts, decks. We design templates and train your team on the rollout.

Frequently asked questions about brand identity
How is "brand identity" different from a logo?
A logo is the visual mark. A brand identity is the entire system that makes the logo meaningful — strategy, voice, type, colour, iconography, photography, layout principles, motion language, and the rules for how it all fits together. A logo without a system is a graphic. A system without a logo is incomplete. We build both.
How long does a brand identity project take?
A complete brand identity engagement typically runs 7–10 weeks for established companies and 8–12 weeks for startups (where naming and strategy from scratch take longer). Small refresh projects (logo evolution + minor system updates) can be 4–6 weeks. Enterprise rebrands across many touchpoints can run 16+ weeks.
Do you work with established companies that need a refresh, or only new brands?
Both. Established companies often need an evolution, not a revolution — refining what works and modernising what doesn't. New companies need a complete system from scratch. We approach each engagement with the same discipline; the depth and emphasis of each phase shifts based on where you're starting.
Will we own the brand assets and source files?
Yes, completely. You own all working files (Figma, Illustrator, InDesign), all licensed font files where applicable, all stock licences purchased for the project, and all derivative assets. We hand over a structured asset library at project end. No retained "creative ownership" or licensing tricks.
What if our team can't execute the brand consistently?
Common problem. We address it by designing templated systems your team can use without design skill — Canva templates for social, Google Slides templates for decks, email signature builders, web block templates. Plus a training session and a 90-day check-in. If you need ongoing brand stewardship, that's available as a retainer.
Do you do trademark filing?
We don't file trademarks ourselves — we partner with IP law firms in Bangalore who handle the filing and prosecution. We provide trademark search support during the naming phase and the artwork files trademark counsel will need.
How many logo concepts do you present?
Three distinct, fully-developed creative directions — not three variations of the same idea. Each is a complete world (type, colour, photography style, layout principle), so the choice is between meaningful alternatives, not minor preferences. After direction is chosen, we refine within that direction.
Can you handle the website, packaging, social media as part of the brand engagement?
Yes — most clients extend into website, packaging, and digital application as a follow-on or simultaneous engagement. Doing it all under one team prevents the typical "we have a brand book but the website doesn't quite match" problem.

Why founders pick FableSquare as their brand design agency Bangalore
A brand design agency in Bangalore can do one of two things — make you a logo and call it a brand, or build a system that makes the next decade of marketing easier. The first is cheaper. The second is the difference between a recognisable brand and a forgotten one. We're built for the second.
FableSquare has worked as a senior brand design agency in Bangalore since 2014, with brand systems shipped for D2C consumer brands, B2B SaaS, listed enterprises, hospitality groups, healthcare networks, education ventures and personal brands of founders and CXOs. Every engagement starts with strategy — positioning, archetype, brand promise, voice — before a single pixel of identity work begins.
How a strategic brand design agency Bangalore engagement differs
Most brand design agency Bangalore projects skip strategy and produce a logo that's pretty, generic and indistinguishable from a competitor's. We refuse to design before strategy is signed off — it's the single biggest reason our work survives ten-year reviews instead of dating itself in eighteen months.
If you're evaluating a brand design agency in Bangalore for a new venture, a rebrand, or an evolution that needs to age into the company without aging it out, book a 30-minute discovery call. Bring whatever you have — old logo, half-finished strategy, founder pitch deck, a vague feeling that something's off. Honest read on whether we're the right team for the project.
